We had a great day Williamson Art Gallery yesterday. Visitors were able to print postcard sized versions of Hokusai's Great Wave, and we saw some stellar results.
If you missed us, we'll next be out at the Summer Matsuri in Sefton Park, Liverpool on Sunday 28 June. Looking forward to creating some more great prints.

We're busy preparing damp packs and Japanese papers for a weekend of mokuhanga woodblock printing, starting off tomorrow at Williamson Art Gallery .
Japanese woodblock printing uses papers that are slightly moistened in order to pick up the ink off the blocks.
Tomorrow, visitors to the Williamson will have the opportunity to have a go at printing Hokusai's Great Wave for themselves. See you there.

We're looking forward to running our first Japanese woodblock printing taster experience at Williamson Art Gallery & Museum this Saturday.
Visitors will have the chance to create their very own print of Hokusai’s Great Wave to take home with them, using traditional Japanese materials and techniques. Each print takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and costs just £7.
And by way of added inspiration, we'll be setting up in the gallery housing the current exhibition of Japanese woodblock prints.
Visitors to the Wirral Art & Wirral Open Studio Tour will be especially welcome.
See you there.

Our first print from the eufyMake E1 UV texture printer at Do Epic Stuff this morning was a 3 dimensional rendition of 龍, the Chinese/Japanese character for dragon. We're impressed by the superfine resolution and tone graduation. The height of the character is about 0.5 mm and it took 11 minutes to print. We look forward to exploring its capabilities further and coming up with designs that take full advantage of this exciting new technology.
