Spot the caterpillars! How many can you see?
Literally, how well do they camouflage, obviously their poo doesn’t!

Happy World Book day! I think they should call it World Book Week as loads of schools celebrate on different days. I really enjoyed getting these two ready today and absolutely loved seeing all the children dressed up in their favourite characters. So share your favourite characters! Reading is life!

Losing a tooth is exciting at the best of times, but having some fun with it makes it even more fun! Here are some pics my little one set up (apologies in advance if it’s a bit grose)! *if you can think of a funny caption for the pics, post it in the comments*

When fingerprinting turns into something else….’Arm art’. Not my idea, theirs, and I get super excited when I see them being creative

Box fun! You don’t really need so many resources when you have imagination. Using waste that’s heading to the ♻️ bin is perfect. Here we used an smoothie box and turned it into some special ‘goggles’.

We love scriballs! This one has literally entertained my little one for nearly 2 hours! The best bit is it’s a 2 in 1 toy with colouring-in then a ball to play with! I see a colourful football match coming up! I literally bought this for the kids for a long plane journey, but we didn’t get around to it!

shenanigans! I love putting costumes together and had fun with these two! I feel lucky to have had time to put these together and know aren’t easy for everyone due to time constraints, not having the resources etc. At the end of the day, as long as the kids are happy that’s all that’s important. Feel free to share your Book Day gems

I’m not sure how it is for you all, but motivating my young man to do his homework is often an obstacle in itself. To help, I often come up with creative ideas to make it more enticing (& to help get the learning completed). Last week the homework task was to write a list of all the times you use electricity in 24 hours. As my young man enjoys imaginative play, especially being a 👮‍♀️ I created a worksheet for him to fill in. I told him he had to secretly monitor and record how the rest of us in the house were using electricity (us being the ‘electricity thieves’’). It worked a treat & we avoided stress and resistance.

Happy Chinese New Year 🧧. This lovely craft was not my idea, but my young one came home with this today from school. I’ve been told she was born in the year of the monkey, thus the monkey on the front. She made sure she put a coin in it and I even had the sweetest message inside!
