Introducing our next speaker 🔊
Irrum graduated from Imperial College London and now manages the Academic Surgical Unit at the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC). She, most recently, won the National Orthopaedic Alliance (NOA) Director’s Award.
As a member of the Research Quality Association and a professional member of the Research Ethics Committee for the Health Research Authority (HRA), Irrum has extensive experience in research ethics, research governance, data security, and outcomes. Irrum regularly attends HRA meetings, actively giving her opinion and guidance on research ethics and governance. She also has an interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and has supported AI-related projects at SWLEOC.
Irrum is an active member of the British Orthopaedic Sports Trauma & Arthroscopy Association (BOSTAA) Committee, the BOSTAA Research Committee in line with the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), and is the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity Lead for BOSTAA. Irrum is a Non-Executive Board Member of the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF). She has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and frequently presents at national and international meetings.
