This week at Marvels Lane, we have been celebrating our love of books for a whole week because one day just isn’t enough to express how passionate we are about reading in our school! We focused on ‘The Impact of a Book’ based on the artistic structure by to show how something as small as a book can have such an enormous impact and make such a difference. We have recreated our own version of the famous wall, decorating our ‘bricks’ in themes from books that have had an impact on us. Here is our final piece.

Could someone please explain how it is nearly the Summer Holidays already!?

Don't worry though - we've got your back. Start the summer off with exploring Nature in Chinbrook Meadows. We're putting the finishes touches to two fabulous drop in sessions.

On Wednesday 26th July 11am - 1pm - we'll be investigating the creatures that live in the ponds & river. Be a citizen scientist and learn how to identify the creatures you find, and record & report them to help build up a picture of our local environment. Join in pond themed arts & crafts.

On Tuesday 1st August 2pm - 4pm our theme will be butterflies. Come and learn about the beautiful pollinators who call Chinbrook Meadows home, make your own beautiful butterfly art to take home.

We will also have a selection of free resources you can take to keep exploring all summer long!

Children MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.

🥳🌍INTERNATIONAL SUMMER FAIR🌍🥳

Thank you again for everybody who helped make our International Summer Fair such an enjoyable experience. Similar to last year, it was such a lovely atmosphere with children and their families celebrating where they are from, who they are and the community they belong to. It is events like these that makes us proud to be part of Marvels Lane Primary School.

We can also report that we made a profit of:
£1592! This is a fantastic sum of money. Mrs Freeman and the Friends of Marvels Lane will be considering what we can put this and the Spring Festival money towards in the new academic year.

✨THANK YOU again for all of your support. We really appreciate your kindness.

🕷MINIBEAST WORKSHOP🐌

Nursery, Reception and Year 1 enjoyed learning about so many amazing minibeasts. The children were able to hold, touch and feel different minibeasts from around the world. The staff were also able to overcome their own creepy crawly fears!
