Despite the variable wind conditions we managed to run 95 races, with all teams getting to race 10 times in the Single Change Swiss League before moving into knockouts!

It was brilliant to see several new teams join us for their first event including , who brought 2 teams along!

Well done to the overall winner Blue!

A different side of supporting Rock Up and Race tonight!

I was on media boat duty for the as they filmed some super fun, casual racing in Zests at as part of the Rock Up and Race pilot! Couldn't have asked for a better night for it with sunshine and breeze!

The best night of so far with 7 boats out and loads fo smiling sailors!

What a 3-day weekend!

Saturday I was at the sharing about what you can get involved in at then today was Spinnaker's Open Day where we got over 100 people out on the water to give them a taste of club membership in epic sunshine!

Yesterday was a slightly quieter day with a cheeky bit of racing, although some how I got convinced to get out the Firefly and into one of the kids Toppers for a race, not sure I fitted very well!

That's a great 2 days at for some private optimist coaching!

Epic work from some small sailors in big winds with a ripping ride both afternoons. Awesome progress made on upwind speed, race starts and most importantly confidence and self belief when things get tough!

So nice to get back out racing after almost 3 months out of the game! Thank you to the team who ran some very smooth racing to get the season started.

Light and shifty winds made for a great game of snakes and ladders, really rewarding being in sync with the shifts and picking the best route around the course (which changed most laps)! To top it off I even claimed 1st in both races 🥇! Let's see if I can keep that up the rest of the summer 🤔

Fantastic to have 5 new Dinghy Instructoers ready to spread their love of sailing! After a week of mixed weather in a mix of boats including the retro aft main Bosun they finished off today in style in Zests with some great games with aims!

Not the most exciting conditions or boats to be in for refular racers but some brilliant work by the team with some good discussions around:

🧘‍♂️Creating a positive learning environment
🙋‍♀️A few of the more technical details within the Racing Rules of Sailing
