On the 12th June I took a series of photos outside
The Ordinary, Spitalfields.

I would also happen to spend most of 2022 living outside
The Ordinary due to a diagnosis of bipolar disorder with a prolonged manic-depressive
episode - triggered by what experts call ‘Life’.

I was pushed, dare I say I ran, to my emotional and mental
limits, while in desperate need to see Out of Office, Home Office, and Out of
Mind.

In the most private, and thanks to a little Social Media, public,
of ways, I lived out my hypomania. Mania being an inflated sense of well-being, energy, and optimism,
affecting thinking and judgement, in embarrassing, harmful, and sometimes
dangerous ways.

The hardest part of being well and fending off the remains
of the depressive side has been picking through the concrete and more shaky achievements,
relationships, emotions, and interactions, wondering if they’re ‘unwell’ or ‘healthy’
John.

All that said, the most important thing I have needed to
hear is that though my illness will not go away, chronic illnesses have that
habit, the Doctors and Nurses I have been working with throughout this year believe
I am now well and with my current treatment plan I can continue a happy, fulfilled life, or at least wait it out til Liverpool lift the Quadruple 😂
