Year 4 investigated how friction affects movement by experimenting with different surfaces and measuring how far a marble travelled! They made some excellent predictions and practiced some really accurate measuring!

What a great day at Broadmead with Mr Nourish and the Nourish Contract Catering team! He did assembly, read stories, ran quizzes, gave prizes and even helped some of us make pizzas! πŸ• THANK YOU so much for adding so much fun to a rainy Wednesday!

One of the things we LOVE about the first week back is seeing the incredible home learning projects that have been completed over the holidays coming in! Sharing them in assembly makes us so proud of our children and families commitment to not just learning at school- but at home too! πŸ’™

Expansion loading! …
The new enhanced learning provision extension is coming on nicely at Broadmead! We cannot wait to offer additional places from September- part of our Trust commitment to ensuring local children get what they need in local schools πŸ’™

It has been a VERY busy and exciting week in Sunshine class!
They have been exploring minibeasts!
They made butterflies using different coloured paint- folding the paper in half and watching the colours mix together!
They explored the bug tray, with insects- looking through the magnifying glasses, using the telescope box and digging to investigate!
They made some spiderwebs using glue to drip over the paper to make a web effect. They then put some glitter on them to make them shiny just like when they are covered in glistening rain drops!
An awesome week! Looking forward to next week already!
