ABOUT MY PIANO COURSE
Dear friends, I know that some of you have been waiting for the launch of my online piano course I’ve announced some months ago.
The idea of such a course came to me during corona and one of the long lockdowns we had here in Germany. I wanted to launch it in June and invested quite a lot of time into it. But the lockdown ended in July and I started playing concerts again.
During the past months I was so happy - and lucky - to have all those great opportunities to perform again. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any time to continue working on my course at the same time.
After giving it a good thought I decided that I may finish and launch it in the future months but cannot plan it at the moment.
I’m so sorry about that and I know that many of you would love to be a part of this course. I hope I’ll find some time in the future to finish it and will for sure let you know about it!
Thank you for your understanding ❤️

One of the most vulnerable things a good teacher can do for you is to teach you in a way to become unnecessary for you in the future, to teach you to be independent and to work on your own. So it’s important for me that after the course you’ll not only learn the pieces that we work on during the course but also that you’ll be able to apply new skills learning other pieces in the future on your own. I would like you to understand classical piano music better, to inspire you to listen and to learn more.
Are you looking forward to it? ☺️ have a good Sunday! 🧡

What is really important for me in my upcoming online piano course is that I really want to make it very personal. I want to do it as if I would make it for a student that I know for a long time and want to help. I would like to put all my experience but also my personal attitude into it, to talk not only about where and when to play a correct note, but also about the music, composers, life situation they were in when writing their pieces, about the story of the piece, about style of this composer. All in all, I would like to give you really lots of insides that only a professional musician can give, but at the same time explain to you all the important technical details and basics.
Are you looking forward to it? 🎼🤩

Right now I’m working on the list of pieces I would like to include into my first online for intermediate level 🎹
I think there will be 10 lessons in total and 8 pieces/topics are already decided:
1. Scales for intermediate level
2. Chopin. Waltz in a minor
3. Chopin. Prelude in e minor
4. Grieg. Arietta
5. Schumann. Träumerei
6. Satie. Gymnopedie
7. Beethoven. Für Elise
8. Scarlatti. Sonata in d minor K32
This is a block of quite famous pieces but I would also like to include 2 less known ones 😉 I haven’t chosen them yet but here some ideas:
Liszt. En Reve
Scriabin. Canon
Sibelius. Romance
Gershwin. Rialto Ripples
Debussy. La plus que lente
Have you played any of those pieces? 🎼

The last reason why I decided to launch an online course is that especially now, during the pandemic and I assume, some time after, taking individual private piano lessons is not something that everyone can afford. I completely understand that, and such a course will also be a possibility to still get high quality lessons with a professional concert pianist but in a much more affordable way ☺️

The second reason why I decided to launch an online course is that during my 10 years of teaching experience and I’ve seen probably hundreds of students of different levels. And what I’ve noticed some years ago is that even though the piano repertoire is so big, there are some specific pieces that usually everyone wants to play and some pieces that are great to go through because you can learn a lot from them. And then, when I work on these pieces with different people, even though everyone is unique, in the end of the day, I repeat the same things over and over again. So I thought, why not to create a course that will consolidate all of my teaching and performing experience in one form so that even more people can benefit from it?

ABOUT THE UPCOMING COURSE
I’ve been having an idea of an online course since a year. And finally, I decided to bring it to life! Yes, my first online piano course will be launched soon!
Why have I decided to create an online course?
During the year 2020, the life on the whole planet has changed dramatically. The pandemic forced us to find new educational possibilities, new hobbies, new ways to communicate with each other. Also for music teachers and those who wanted to learn an instrument, there was no other way left as to do it online.
I was always sceptical about online education but the previous year has completely changed my attitude. I’ve been teaching online for the whole year and I see that it actually works, sometimes and for some people and their specific situations even better than offline. So that’s the first reason why I want to start this course – simply because the world needs it and it’s just becoming normal these days, to study something online, and music and piano as well.
Have you already studied something online?

Music means so much for me! It’s an international language everyone can learn and communicate through, it’s a way to express yourself, it can be a great hobby for some time - or a profession for the whole life.
Music is a way to find new friends off and online, it is a source of inspiration and expression, it’s a way to connect to the world and at the same time, to escape from the reality into your own world and so much more!
Would you like to tell us what does music mean for you? 🎼
