One week to go until (and just one space left on) our autumn intensive throwing class with the talented 🥳

20/21/22 October 6.30-9pm

Learn and perfect the basic thrown forms over 3 consecutive evenings in one week, with our intensive throwing class! This class is suitable for brand new potters, as well as those with some previous experience who are looking to improve or practice.

In these sessions, we pay attention to the foundations of throwing on the wheel, with a focus on developing the skills to throw perfect cylinder and bowl shapes every time.

Over 3 consecutive evenings in one week, we’ll teach you how to throw and turn your pots with intension and how to achieve the shapes of your dreams! (Yes, we dream about ceramics...)

We will spend the first 2 sessions throwing, and will turn (aka trim) your favourite pots on the 3rd session. We will fire and glaze your pots for you in your choice of our 4 studio glazes.

Complete beginners are welcome, as well as those just looking to practice, or nail down these foundational thrown forms.

Luke, the bump and I have escaped for one last break in the sunshine before we kick off our FINAL TEACHING TERM THIS YEAR, (and before life changes forever 😂).

I’ve got some perfect poolside reading in the form of ‘s By My Hands - I’m only a chapter in so far but it’s always so nice to read about other potters on their journeys, and Florian’s recollection of his early lessons (both in life and pottery) seem to chime so much with that of my own and that that I get to see all the gorgeous students i teach on too.

Pottery teaches you so much, and requires an enormous amount of resilience and depth of character. Picking yourself up after each disappointment (and at the beginning whilst you’re on your steepest of learning curves, there are many) and realising the lessons in each failure, whilst staying inspired to keep going is no easy task. Setting up Clay Days this year has been the steepest learning curve of all for me so far, and I feel incredibly humbled to be on this path, to be learning every day, and to have met so many brilliant people in the process.

We’re back in time for the start of term next Monday and still have a few spaces remaining on our 6-week courses. If you’re ready to be humbled, sign on! Link in bio 🥰

We completely sold out of throwing tasters up until the end of November this week! So I’ve just added 2 NEW CLASSES IN OCTOBER 😍 which are bookable now through the website ( link in bio)

These little beauties are examples of some of the gorgeous pots our first-time potters make in their 3 hour taster session. You’ll get to choose your favourite 3 pots to keep, and we’ll glaze and fire them for you to take home. All costs included in the £70 3-hour session 😊

We have an upcoming mug workshop running this Saturday 19th August, with a couple of spaces remaining, so if you’d like to try your own hand at building some creative mugs from scratch, here’s your chance 😍

Well be building 2 pinch-pots each to form the base of our mugs, and then it’s over to you for you to add your creative flare in handles and decoration. This class is suitable for kids upwards of 8 years too, when accompanied by an adult 👨‍👧
