The Asia-Pacific Journal of Healthcare Excellence and Ethics is a peer-reviewed international journal with a primary interest in clinical effectiveness, patient-safety and patient-centric care vis-à-vis realistic medicine in the context of resource-limited countries. We welcome original research, commentaries, reviews and reflections on innovative service delivery model and ethical issues. The emphasis of the journal is to stimulate critical thinking and discussion on issues critical to delivering effective patient-centric care focussed on improved outcome and satisfaction. The journal provides a platform to showcase model improvement projects.
The first issue of the Asia-Pacific Journal of Healthcare Excellence and Ethics is anticipated to be published during August 2020. Researchers and Scholars are invited to register and submit their works in the areas covered by the scope of the journal.
After the publication of the first issue, the journal will acquire ISSN and be submitted for indexing in PubMed, Google Scholar, DOAJ and other relevant indices.

On 24 February 2018, the second annual meeting of Gauhati University Overseas Alumni Association, Europe Chapter were held. A group From Gauhati University too joined the meeting over SKYPE. They were: Professor Amrit Pal Singh, Professor Dibakar Deka, Professor Manab Deka, Professor Madhushree Das and Dr Kandarpa Saikia. Those that joined from the UK were: Dr Bhupen Sarma, Mr. Gautam Rajkhowa, Mr. Aniruddha Dey, Mr. Rajeeb Goswami, Mrs. Jurie Baruah, Mrs. Nigar Yasmin and Dr. Rituparna Bhattacharyya😍😍👩👧😀😍

GU faculty members to attend UK meet

JALUKBARI, Feb 16 - A 15-member team of professors of different departments of the Gauhati University, led by the Vice Chancellor, Dr Mridul Hazarika, will leave for London on February 21 to take part in the inaugural session of the European chapter of the Gauhati University Overseas Alumni Association (GUOAA), to be held in the London School of Economics on February 27.Dr Hazarika will attend the function as the chief guest and inaugurate the European chapter of its alumni association. During their stay in London, the team will visit a few important universities and institutions and discuss the future collaboration prospects with faculty members of those institutions.
A number of universities/institutions in the UK have been welcoming the proposed visit of faculty members from the Gauhati University.
It may be mentioned that Dr Hazarika has been taking special initiatives for establishing a linkage among the people having a connection with the university from the past to the present. He has come forward to open an international wing of alumni association of the premier university called the Gauhati University Overseas Alumni Association in order to connect all its alumni across the globe to form a world platform.
Prof Jogen Chandra Kalita, professor of the Department of Zoology, has been acting as the co-coordinator of the overseas alumni affairs. The university has already nominated two joint co-coordinators in the UK, Dr Jayanta B Sarma and Dr Nripen Barkataki, to take necessary steps to initiate the process of opening up the European chapter of the Gauhati University Overseas Alumni Association.
The joint co-ordinators Dr Jayanta B Sarma and Dr Nripen Barkataki, both from England, have been requested to design and develop the European chapter of the GUOAA as a dynamic model. Dr Rituparna Sarma (Bhattacharyya), an alumnus of the GU living in the UK, has also been actively coordinating with different universities in the UK to make the visit a successful one.
