🇬🇧 "Victory belongs to those who say 'Victory is mine' . Success belongs to those who begin by saying 'I will succeed' and saying 'I succeeded' in the end..."

Victory Day (Turkish: Zafer Bayramı), also known as Turkish Armed Forces Day (Turkish: Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri Günü), is an official holiday in Turkey and Northern Cyprus commemorating the decisive victory in the Battle of Dumlupınar (the last battle of the Greco-Turkish war of 1919-1922), on 30 August 1922.

Turkey's independence was achieved as a result of the sacrifice, persevarance, willpower and unity of the Turkish people. On the 99th anniversary of Victory Day, we commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and all the martyrs who died for our freedom.

🇹🇷 "Zafer, 'Zafer benimdir' diyebilenindir.
