Today we were discussing with our patients the support they most valued during their cancer treatment in the U.K.

Most recommend the wider team support being treated by the National Health Service, effective communication between all teams involved & the way they felt that they were in safe hands.

We are sorry to hear that Jay Aston, has revealed her diagnosis of mouth cancer. She feared it could stop her talking and singing. Jay Aston, English singer, of Bucks Fizz became one of the UK's biggest pop acts after winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1981.

☀️ Heatwave in the U.K.

The risk associated with sunlight exposure can be reduced by limiting exposure, protective creams (with a strong SPF) and wearing a hat. Please don’t forget there is a is a greater risk to children between the ages of 5-15 years old.

Many studies show that, SCC on the skin of the head and neck is associated with:
• host pigmentation
• sunburns occurring in childhood
• sunlight exposure during adulthood
