Building on CIPR’s recent work on PR and pay equality, and the many studies looking at women in construction and property, we wish to explore the issues for women working in construction and property PR and marketing. Do you have similar or different experiences to women in the wider construction industry? And how do your experiences compare with the PR industry as a whole? Are there additional challenges for women in construction and property PR, given the complex challenges the sector already has regarding gender diversity.
We wish to hear from women working in all built environment related PR and marketing roles – including corporate communications, community and stakeholder engagement, public affairs, marketing communications, and marketing.

Public Consultation and Community Involvement in Planning - evg event at London, on Tuesday 11 July.
Consultation and community involvement in planning is changing rapidly: in recent years we have seen a changing political framework, new methods of communication, raised expectations and increased scrutiny of developers’ and local authorities’ methodologies. Communications professionals running consultations need to fully understand the new environment, the impact of the changes on their work and the opportunities that change presents.
Our event marks the publication of Public Consultation and Community Involvement in Planning: a twenty-first century guide by Penny Norton FCIPR and Martin Hughes MCIPR.
