Shaykh Al Qari Basheer would say:

“In the early days of my arrival in Madinah Munawarah, I endured six long and testing months without any income, wealth, or worldly means, all while continuing to teach the Qur’an. Each day, whatever little money I managed to gather was spent on half a riyal’s worth of bread and a few onions, sometimes cooked, sometimes raw. That meagre portion would suffice as my only nourishment for the entire day, throughout those six months of hardship.
All praise is due to Allah for His apparent and hidden blessings.
He mentioned many more details of great value, and indeed, Allah is the One who grants success.
