St George’s Marrow Society is restarting and we are hosting our first donor recruitment event this Thursday!

We are a network of student volunteers that recruit new donors to the Anthony Nolan stem cell register and raise lifesaving funds.

Every 14 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with a blood cancer. A stem cell transplant from a stranger – someone like YOU - can be their only hope.

So come chat to us in the Alastair Hunter room 11am-3pm to learn more about stem cell donation and sign up to become a potential lifesaver!

Following recent events and the open letter from SGUL Pride, SGUL Marrow would like to offer our unwavering support for our fellow colleagues in the LGBTQ+ community.

At Marrow, we are Proud lifesavers, and we stand with everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation, race, religion, or gender identity. Marrow, alongside our parent organisation Anthony Nolan, strongly believes in an inclusive society where no one faces any discrimination. We will continue to be an ally for our wonderful colleagues and stand against any form of abuse.

Our first swab clinic of the year was scarily good (did we mention it was a halloween clinic?). A massive thank you to our lovely volunteers who made yesterday possible - we appreciate every single one of you. We managed to get 48 people to sign up - the first 48 of many this year! Keep your eyes peeled for future events and announcements 🎃🎃👻👻
