Wallace Chess runs weekly chess clubs in Swiss Cottage, Belgravia and Kensington and chess camps every half-term and during the summer holidays.

Our Clubs

We started our first chess club Rookies in 2008 and have since started a number of other clubs in London including an adult’s beginner club.
All our weekly clubs are termly sign-up and held at 3 different locations - Swiss Cottage, Kensington and Belgravia - so there should be a club to suit you. We welcome children aged 4-16 from complete beginners to intermediate and advanced players.

Over the past 10 years, we here at Wallace Chess have prided ourselves in providing chess activities that enrich the lives of children. Our services range from weekly chess clubs to our fantastic chess holiday camps. Created by Astrid S. Wallace and John-Paul Wallace as they wanted to use chess as a vehicle to develop confidence, cognitive skills and sportsmanship in children. Thus in addition to an emphasis on learning and competing, all our chess services focus on an experience of being part of a team and having fun. As such our services not only suit those already well learned in the game of chess, but also provide the perfect introduction for a beginner.
