CRAFTY TALES AT OLD MALDEN FAMILY HUB!

Old Malden is officially reopening tomorrow! And Crafty Tales will be there every Monday morning with a fabulous 1-2s session!

In our classes for 12-24m (Interactive Toddler Music), the focus now moves to encouraging your child to practise skills for themselves rather than you, as a parent, simply modelling them. These sessions are best for movers but are a great session for siblings of different abilities as well; join in with the Hello Song, meet Boo-Boo the puppet, jump and dance around to the interactive songs, play with the hands-on musical instruments (all cleaned before the class!), chase the bubbles and the twirly lights!

Please note that 1-2s is a guided age, but some children are ready younger than this, this session includes all of our regular fun but in a slightly faster-paced environment to keep toddlers’ attention!

This session is available to all families living in Kingston and Richmond boroughs.

Free play passes are available for anyone families in need - please contact the centre directly.

🍂 AUTUMN TERM 2025 TIMETABLE 🍂

We are so excited to announce our JAM-PACKED timetable for the Autumn term :)

This includes all of our regular fun (with a couple of time/date changes), classes returning after summer holidays and also some BRAND NEW classes!

I am so happy to share that our new 1-2s class in Old Malden Children's Centre will be starting on Mondays from November! This centre has just had a full refurb and has ample parking available!

We are also buzzing to share that we will be running Halloween specials at Wacky Kingdom Kingston this October! After the success of our summer sessions we expect these to sell out fast so when the bookings open get in there quick!

Please note booking opening times as follows:
Busy Lizzy classes are open 1 month in advance.
AFC classes are open 2 weeks in advance.
Jolly Jumps bookings are open for the first half-term.

NB
AFC Richmond classes are available for Richmond Borough residents only.
AFC Kingston classes are available for Richmond and Kingston borough residents only.
Busy Lizzy classes are available to busy Lizzy club members, class passes and trials only.

SOLO PLAY

After every Crafty Tales session I always tell parents to come and ask me any questions that they may have, whether it is related to the class content, their little one’s development or just a random thought that’s popped into their head!

I’ve had many queries about solo play and how to support it especially with our littlest ones, so I thought I’d pop my advice into a post!

As parents we can feel so pressured to be entertaining our children every waking hour, but in reality this shouldn’t be the case!

Children can and should be able to entertain themselves even for short bursts, both for their own development and to make your job as a parent more manageable!

Knowledge is power, and I want to empower every single one of you as parents!

This is a 0-2s music and sensory Crafty Tales session with a free stay and play included in your ticket price!

Come and learn WHY we sing, laugh and sign with our children - yes, believe it or not IT IS A SCIENCE! Introduce your baby to the Hello song, meet Boo-Boo the puppet, and have fun with musical instruments, bubbles, twirly lights, and fully interactive songs. Children are dexterous before they are verbal, so we incorporate simple BSL for early communication alongside full explanations of the neuroscience behind what you are doing with your baby as we go along!
