We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our alumnus Ziyaad Ben Eydatoula for his support in making Work Experience Week such a success. 👏
Hosted by our MDX Careers and Futures Team, the week gave our current students and recent graduates the opportunity to collaborate in teams and develop solutions to a real-world brief.
It’s been fantastic to see posts from students highlighting how the experience supported the development of our key Graduate Competencies and built their confidence for the future.
Ziyaad has shared the below reflection on his experience, capturing both the impact of the week and the value of giving back:
"Coming back to MDX over a decade after graduating felt like closing a loop - except the students made me realise the loop is actually a spiral. Watching 16 teams wrestle with a real commercial problem in five days, mentoring them on Slack and seeing the quality of thinking they produced, reminded me why I got into Product Management in the first place. The energy in that room on Day 5 was incredible. I look forward to building on this and continuing to bridge the university–industry gap for students."
We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of our alumni community.
If you would like to collaborate with the team at Middlesex University and leave a lasting impact on the next generation of graduates, we would love to hear from you:

👇 In the comments, tell us:
• What was your very first job after university?
• What advice would you give to graduates starting their job search?
We'll start with some advice recently shared by our alumna Kavita Surdhar in her MDX Voices blog:
"Don’t feel like you need to have it all figured out straight away because honestly, most people don’t."
✨ Career journeys rarely follow a straight line, and sometimes the first role is just the beginning of something bigger.
