Still reflecting on a powerful evening at the a few weeks back!
To be in a room filled with so many inspiring individuals across the sports industry — all committed to driving change and creating more equitable opportunities — was genuinely energising.
For me, it’s always a privilege to continue to grow in spaces like this.
If I’m honest, I’ve traditionally been someone who just puts my head down and focuses on getting the work done.
But at this stage of my career, I’m really starting to understand the importance of being visible, building relationships, and connecting with others who share the same purpose.
Because real impact doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens through collaboration, shared thinking, and aligning with people who are equally committed to growing the sport in the right way.
It was also a proud moment to stand alongside my fellow cohort members from the Leaderboard Academy 2025–26 as we received our graduate certificates. A journey that has stretched me, challenged my thinking, and helped me evolve as a leader.
Evenings like this remind me that the work continues — but also that there’s a strong community of people pushing in the same direction.

8 years of research, lived experience, and a commitment to understanding and creating change.
Today, I successfully defended my PhD.
This journey was never just about the title—it was about impact, about giving a voice to communities, and about contributing something meaningful.
Grateful to everyone who supported me along the way.
The mission continues (with a slight name change) 📈
