The Wandsworth Young Labour AGM is on Thursday 13th January at the Bread and Roses (SW4 6DZ) from 7.30pm.
We will be electing a new committee and discussing our priorities for the new year. Please join if you are a Labour Party member, between the ages of 14 - 26 years, and live in Wandsworth! ✨

Dawn Foster was a treasured comrade of WYL. She was with us from the very beginning, as a speaker, supporter and friend. It was a privilege to know her, and her death is a great loss to our movement. We send our deepest condolences to those who knew her best.
Every time we meet at the Bread and Roses, we will think of Dawn, and her memory will inspire us: to never stop fighting for victims of injustice, to never stop making each other laugh, and to never shy away from the things we believe in. Rest in power.

Wandsworth Young Labour stands in solidarity against white supremacy and racial injustices in the US, UK and elsewhere. We support any young person driven to protest for the rights of their community, and the threat against their lives under such a system.
We encourage all members to donate to bail funds, continue to educate themselves and root out racism wherever it is found.

As Young Labour members we all put our hearts and souls into the 2017 General Election. The enthusiasm on the streets was incredible. To read now that a group of self-entitled sociopaths within the Party sabotaged everyone’s efforts is almost too hard to take.
They are denting young people’s faith in politics and our confidence that it can be a vehicle for good. Specific individuals need to be disciplined and the whole Labour Party office structure must change.
