Our cyclists have officially set off from London to Paris!
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to cheer them on and show their support this morning.
Stay tuned next week to find out whether our Kew House rowers (for the day!) managed to row just as far as the cyclists… 👀🚣

We were delighted to welcome Dominic Faulkner, adventurer, educator, writer and speaker, to our school.
Best known for leading EVERESTMAX, a record-breaking expedition that travelled over 8,000km from the Dead Sea to the summit of Mount Everest, Dominic shared powerful insights into leadership, endurance and exploration.
Pupils heard first-hand about this extraordinary journey and the challenges faced along the way, including cycling across multiple countries before completing the ultimate ascent of Everest - an achievement recognised as a Guinness World Record.

Our year 12 Drama students recently enjoyed a fantastic enrichment trip to Central London, beginning with a visit to the V&A’s incredible theatre & performance exhibition, where they explored the history, artistry and innovation behind live performance.
The evening continued at The Lyric Theatre on Shaftesbury avenue to experience the acclaimed Hadestown, exposing students to bold, imaginative performance styles and outstanding live theatre design.
The trip was a well-deserved reward for a year of hard-work, creativity and collaboration. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the strong sense of teamwork built throughout the course.

A KHS student has achieved outstanding success this season in both British and international épée competitions. At the British Youth Fencing Championships 2026 in Sheffield, he competed against 48 nationally selected fencers in the U12 category, reaching the quarter-finals and finishing in the top eight overall. This result secured automatic qualification for next season’s U14 competition - the youngest age group eligible for Great Britain representation.
He later travelled to Bulgaria to compete in the Sofia Chocolate Cup, representing Great Britain as the only UK entrant in the U12 men’s épée event. Competing against 60 fencers from across Europe, he finished 7th after the opening rounds and placed 12th overall following a dramatic sudden-death match.
Despite competing above his age group in the U14 competition against 91 international fencers, he achieved an impressive 5–0 victory over a Romanian athlete ranked No.44 internationally and progressed through multiple elimination rounds. Following the competition, his GBR U14 ranking rose to 18th, making him the only fencer born in 2014 currently ranked within the national top 25.

Year 12 Geography trip to the Lake District 🌿📍
An incredible opportunity to take learning beyond the classroom and apply real fieldwork skills in a dynamic environment. From walkability surveys and rephotography in Grasmere and Keswick to investigating the water cycle in Blencathra 💧, every activity helped build confidence in collecting, analysing and evaluating data.
Exploring glacial landforms firsthand; including roche moutonnée, hummocky moraine, glacial till, U-shaped valleys and striations - brought physical geography to life 🏔️. Studying places like Easedale, with its corrie and tarn lake, deepened our understanding of how landscapes are shaped over time.
A valuable experience that strengthens enquiry skills, supports exam knowledge and shows how geography connects to the real world.
