"Place: What Makes a Place a Place?" A research project brings together 23 artworks, drawings, photographs and videos by artists in Tehran engaging visually with “place”.

This art collection entitled "place", is the first collection by the Samii and Honari Art Organisation which began in 2014, and is an ongoing project.

This collection looks at artists' engagement with place. How place is seen?How is its story told to audiences?What makes the place memorable for the artist and how is it possible to be represented through the artwork?What experience can essentially be handed over to the viewers by artists? How does the viewer’s experience of place influence how they see the artwork?
