Saw this and smiled.... remember whether you are a teacher, parent, grandparent, IT technician, nutritionalist, counsellor, cleaner, judge, curriculum expert, child minder, society-saving-superhero (one netflix movie at a time!), homebound, isolated, or a big motley mix of the above- you’re doing great! It will be ok!

Beyond the classroom, beyond the school gates, the future beckons. It's here. A shift in the narrative of what education was, has arrived kicking and screaming into every community, of almost every country in the world. The four walls of the classroom have simultaneously crumbled and expanded. Education is now more than it was, in so many ways. A family experience, a shared responsibility and overwhelming to many. Teachers, schools, parents, communities and, most importantly students, will be expected to step up to the plate to work cohesively.

Creating a new narrative about HOW students can learn, HOW teachers can teach and WHAT parents can learn about themselves as cheerleaders for their child’s education.
Creativity is our current teaching superpower to try to reach and support as many students as we can. What we create in these weeks and months is going to be truly priceless.

Be kind, give yourselves and others grace, and remember this too shall pass!

Love, love, love this! Yes, there will be challenges when schools return to a new normal, but let’s not- as teachers or parents- sweat the small stuff! And right now, in so many cities all over the world... it’s all small stuff!

We are still working on getting the videos for teachers and classes filmed, edited and emailed out to teachers! Getting housebound toddlers to cooperate with this process is like wrangling wet piglets! But we have started uploading some fun ‘exploring sounds’ videos that we had finished.
