If you think teaching freedomDANCE is mainly about playing good music, it’s worth pausing.

Music matters — a lot. But teaching asks for much more than musical taste or DJ skills.

Over time, I’ve come to see teaching as moving between three distinct roles:

- instructing,
- inspiring, and
- witnessing.

Each one matters. Each one asks something different of us.

In this framework, DJing belongs within instructing — but teaching doesn’t begin or end there.

This workshop is designed as an introduction to our Level 1.1 teacher training for those who are interested in becoming freedomDANCE teachers.
