The ASK Workshop Assessing Su***de in Kids
Su***de Prevention: The Assessing Su***de in Kids (ASK) workshop is for professionals working with children & young people age 5-14 years old
17/09/2024
Now that I have your attention…. I will be running a workshop (online so you can access it from anywhere in the world) to learn how to spot signs, assess risk, & talk to children (4-14) about su***de. It’s called the ASK Workshop & it’s over 2 half days 24 & 25 October.
It’s an amazing, international approach which was first developed in Canada & I’m one of only 10 people in the UK licenced to deliver it. This means these courses are rare events.
I do have a few subsidised places, but due to licences, resources, & the need to run it with 2 other trainers (2 extra wages!) this one is not free.
Use the link in bio to book, dm, or email me.

Today I am back in my office, rested after a lovely break, & ready to take forward my new training offer - The ASK Workshop.
If you haven't heard of it, it grew out of a myriad of common questions asked by people in other su***de prevention & intervention training & workshops. What was missing, & what they needed, was information & guidance for helpers working with children (4-14) at risk of thoughts of su***de &/or su***de behaviours.
The ASK Workshop began in North America, & I was privileged to undertake my training to deliver this workshop with a group of First Nations women, who I learned so much from.
If you want to find out more, or simply wish to book a place on the course running on 24 & 25 October (Online using Zoom) you can message me, email me, or click on this link:

Really excited - prepping to deliver training again, in collaboration with Grassroots this month. The last time I delivered this ***de training was in Feb 2020….. just before all the nonsense began. I’ll be running another course in July, so if you work in the voluntary sector, are part of a charity group, or a volunteer in North Yorkshire please reach out for more information.

Today it feels like I’m saying goodbye to an old friend… I’ve been delivering for 6 years. have released our redeveloped ® training so this is the last time I’m delivering this older version. It’s a bit like throwing away an old cardigan I’ve worn to threads - I love it, but it just doesn’t fit any more!
