The Original RAT Stand.

Designed for the Welsh National Opera in 1976, now known as the Opera Stand.

Engineered to meet the unique demands of an opera pit, it became the first music stand to feature an integrated light.

Nearly 50 years later, the Opera Stand remains instantly recognisable. The core design has stood the test of time, while advances in lighting technology have ensured it continues to meet the needs of modern performers.

From orchestra pits and opera houses to theatres and concert halls around the world, it has supported generations of musicians.

The youth music charity 'National Children's Orchestras' has opened auditions for young musicians in 2027.
