Day 1 of 4 for ASI2 Belfast

Over the next four days, we’ll be building our understanding of comprehensive sensory integration assessment across the lifespan, strengthening clinical reasoning and developing practical skills that can be taken straight back into practice.

Together we’ll explore, question, reflect and learn in partnership, always keeping occupational participation and co-production at the heart of what we do.

We’re proud to grow a community of practice where everyone contributes, everyone learns and no one is left behind.

Because sensory integration is everyone’s business.

Common SEN (Mis)Interventions - An Evidence Summary 09/06/2026

This is a helpful challenge to poorly evidenced, generic SEN packages, but it needs a more nuanced occupational therapy lens. The problem is not sensory-informed practice itself. The problem is decontextualised, diagnosis-led, non-assessed, non-individualised sensory activity being mistaken for intervention.
