Olive and I on our last morning walk of 2025. Lovely, sunny, crispy, frosty day. As daily life and news constantly reminds us, you never know whatโs around the next corner. Your memories are like your own bag of diamonds, you can pull them out and enjoy them whenever you need to. So come on, try and make a diamond every day. We wish you a happy and healthy 2026. Cheers and good luck ๐๐

Had a great time with my friends and colleagues down in Devon over the last few days. I was invited to speak to the Branch retired members (great bunch) and also had this honour given to me. I opened the Branch office in 2008 and our respect for each other and friendships have grown ever since. Thank you one and all.
Pictured with some of the retired members and with Paul Wotton Brach Sec. Sadly we carried a black cloud around with us when learning of the tragic passing of Richard Isdell. I am fortunate to also have great friends in the Sheffield Branch and Richard was one of them. The work Richard done for processing workers locally and nationally was massive. A once in a generation mind and he chose to use it for and not against members. Heartfelt condolences to his family and all my friends in Sheffield. RIP my friend โค๏ธ

No greater honour.
My day of honour and inspiration was spent in the famous Casa in Liverpool with some genuinely good people. The event was arranged by Chris Tapper to honour the memory of the late Jane Loftus and be inspired by the work done by Janeโs daughter Joanne to conclude her masters degree in Art and Politics. It was such a special, beautiful day. We all honoured Jane and were inspired by the presentation and the lovingly made art work and all it represented. Made by Joanne.
It was great to catch up with Chris and Joanne, Janeโs family, Joanneโs friends and a room full of women activists and fellow trade unionists. Davie Robertson, Lynn Browne, Dave and Shelley Banbury, Ted Long, John Pettit, reps from Greater Mersey & SWL Amal Branch and my son Charlie, to name a few. Really uplifting day.
