Well most of us have been there and now we're here to prove them wrong once and for all.

Yids On Bikes is a group for Jewish bikers who love motorbikes, so whether you love riding them, being a pillion or just like bikes then this is the group for you. We don't care how old you are, whether you're religious or not or even kosher, riding for years or still learning, just as long as you're Jewish, love your faith and love bikes and if some of you have non Jewish friends that ride bikes

אני יודע שבבוקר זה יגרום לי לחלות להיזכר בזה, אבל הבוקר לא נמשך זמן רב.

It is with great sadness that we have lost one of our original members of the group long before we became an official club, other than growing up watching CHiPs it was Zef that got me going with biking. He was a great friend to many of us and we will all miss him greatly. R.I.P. Zef

Hi everyone

We are looking for a few bikers to be part of a new TV documentary which will take place around 10th July until 30th July, it's to recreate the 1936 Macabiah Games that took place in Berlin where a few Israeli bikers rode into Europe looking for Jewish athletes to take part in the games.
We will be starting in Israel and then heading to Greece to ride through a few European countries carrying the Macabiah torch to the games in Berlin on the 28/29th July.
The trip will be fully funded and we will either ship your bikes there (and back) for the journey or we will be renting a few bikes, we are looking for bikers that have a connection to the holocaust either by having family that escaped or perished.

Please let me know ASAP if you are interested and I will give you more details about it

***EXCLUSIVE DEAL FOR YOB MEMBERS***

Loren and myself have been in negotiation with Tamar Mediterranean Tours, the only bike hire and guided motorcycle Tour Company in Israel in order to put together a discounted tour package exclusively for YOB members.

The proposed tour will be conducted over 6 days with 4.5 days of riding and will cover the Golan Heights, Carmel Mountains Dead Sea and the Negev desert (details below).

The most attractive aspect is that the trip will be heavily subsidized for YOB members!!

If this sounds like something you will be interested in please indicate this to us ASAP so that we can assess whether there is enough interest among us to make this happen.

Tour details:
General:
This tour is a 6-day riding vacation, 5 Hotel Nights 4.5 Riding day experience.

Tamar Mediterranean Tours have custom designed a “winter” (Israeli not British) tour for the exclusively for the YOB Members, the tour focuses on the riding experience through Israel’s best riding roads and views with less attention to tourist attractions and sites.

Base and lodging:
We will be staying at a very nice B&B hotel in the small historical town of Zichron on Mount Carmel, this location will give us both a unique atmosphere not common to regular tourist areas and a great after riding food and drinks to keep the good vibe running.
Rides will run typically between 9AM – 4PM so we will be back before dark, this will include a tour leader to take you along the best roads and great eating places on the way.

We will stop for a morning coffee and a light lunch break, this concept will enable us to forgo the need for a support van and we will not employ certified guides on this tour to give YOBs a better deal.

Itinerary:
Day 1 - Assuming we can finish logistics by Noon, we will head out for a short after noon easy ride that will enable us both to get used to the bikes and get acquainted with the near vicinity around Zichron.
Day 2 - Galilee west to east.
Day 3 – Israel Valley and Golan Heights.
Day 4 – Jerusalem corridor and the Judean desert from the Dead Sea to the Negev (One night stay away from Hotel).
Day 5 – Return through the Ramon Crater, Lachish plains and back north to return the bikes before a festive goodbye dinner back in Zichron.
Day 6 – Shuttle back to train station at your leisure.

You will receive a Road Map as well as a detailed daily itinerary, you may bring your own GPS and most of the larger bikes have a Standard cigarette lighter socket on board.

The Price (to be confirmed) will include pickup from Binyamina Train station (direct from airport or Tel Aviv), a nice Homely B&B for 5 nights including 5 breakfasts and dinners.

Use of new Japanese motorcycles equipped with a top box not including fuel for the duration of the tour.

Insurance cover is inclusive of, Mandatory, Personal, Property and third party liability insurance (an insurance deductible deposit is required).
Anything not mentioned specifically as included is not part of the package and will be paid by the participants (food, drinks on route and any entrance fees should we decide to enter any sites).

Should you wish we could offer additional days before and after including professional guides in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem to complete your tour (not included in the price).

Provisional tour dates:
We have set aside the first week of January (4-9) or February (1-6) but are open for other date requests provided they do not clash with any tours previously booked.
The tours will run Sunday - Friday so no riding on Shabbat.

The prices for the tour are:
