Wenlock CE Academy

A very big THANK YOU to our amazing community for helping to raise over £1000 for Luton Foodbank at our Wenlock Colour Run. We are so incredibly grateful for and blown away by all of your support in helping to raise these important funds.

Today it is National Thank a Teacher UK Day. We know how special this day is and we are proud to celebrate all of our amazing staff here at Wenlock CE Academy, who help to make our school what it is. We are grateful for the time and care that they all put into our children and our commuinity and we could not be any more thankful for all that they do.

Some of our year 6 children are on their way back from the Big Bang Fair at the NEC in Birmingham. They had a great time taking part in different experiments, taking quizzes to find out STEM jobs that match their skills and talking to a range of scientists🔬🧬

On Friday, we held our first ever Colour Run in school with Luton Foodbank to help raise important funds for the Foodbank, whilst focusing on our Christian Value of Service. We had a great time and are already looking forward to planning next year's Colour Run.

Today Year 5 and 6 were visited by the loved Marium from Love Music Hate Racism Luton. They enjoyed a wonderful assembly where they learnt about Luton’s proud diversity and how people use music to connect with each other. Marium then came to each of our classes to discuss what we can do to support others and be the positive change in the world, giving us all meaningful ways of being lights for the world in our own community.

We are a Platinum OPAL School!

We are incredibly proud to share that today we have been awarded Platinum by OPAL. Wenlock CE Academy is the first school in Luton to achieve Platinum from OPAL.

Today Mrs Clark and the team led our Welcome to Wenlock event for our new pupils joining us in September. It was lovely to welcome so many families to our school to share and celebrate our school. Thank you to everyone who attended and we look forward to welcoming you all in September.

This is a friendly reminder that class picture day is next Wednesday, 20th May 2026.

Please ensure your child wears one of the following uniform options:

Option 1: New active uniform
OR
Option 2: Winter uniform (shirt, blazer and tie)

Both options are acceptable for the photographs, so please choose whichever is most convenient for your family.
