A leading day nursery & pre-school provider, where little minds grow big. Please feel free to pop into your local nursery anytime to meet your friendly team.

With 65 years of childcare and education experience between us, we decided to set up a family of nurseries that parents could trust. Every nursery in the Just Childcare family is different because they are all part of communities with different needs. What they all have in common is that they are run by staff who have been carefully chosen for their kindness, professionalism and passion for childcare. We look forward to welcoming you into our family!

We wanted to find out which types of play nursery children enjoy most, so we asked the people who know them best.

869 nursery practitioners across 99 nurseries shared their insights, giving us a fascinating snapshot of children's play preferences today.

The results revealed some clear favourites and a few surprises along the way. Take a look through our findings and let us know which type of play your child enjoys most.

Keep an eye out for future posts with more of our reseach!

We’re delighted to share that Partou Gingerbread House Day Nursery and Pre‑School in South Croydon has been praised by Ofsted for its “warm, nurturing setting” where children feel they belong and are supported to thrive.

The inspector highlighted how children “are happy and learn through play,” achieving well from their starting points and developing age‑appropriate skills through carefully planned activities.

The team was also praised for its inclusive approach, strong relationships with families, and the way staff support children to become confident and independent in their daily routines.

Nursery Manager Claire Preece said:
“We place a strong emphasis on providing the best possible learning experience for children, and it’s rewarding to see this recognised in the report.”

Samantha Rhodes, our Managing Director, added:
“They have created a wonderfully positive culture that supports children to make great strides as they begin their learning journey.”

A huge well done to Claire and the team for this fantastic achievement.
