Many of the challenges parents ask us about, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, tics, poor sleep, restlessness, sensory sensitivities, teeth grinding, nail biting, difficulty concentrating, growing pains and nervous habits, are often influenced by many different contributing factors.

Sleep quality, stress, gut health, genetics, hormones, movement, medical conditions, environment, screen time and nutrition can all play a role. It’s rarely one thing alone.

One area we believe deserves far more attention is nutritional status.

The brain and nervous system rely on a constant supply of nutrients to produce neurotransmitters, generate energy, build healthy brain cells, regulate nerve signalling and switch between “fight or flight” and “rest and restore.”

Magnesium helps regulate nerve signalling and supports relaxation.

Vitamin B6 is needed to make calming neurotransmitters like GABA and serotonin.

Omega-3 fats, especially DHA, are structural building blocks of the brain and support communication between brain cells.

Choline is essential for acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter involved in memory, learning and attention, and it’s also a key component of every cell membrane.

Vitamin D acts more like a hormone than a vitamin, influencing brain development, immune regulation and neurotransmitter function.

Vitamin B12 supports healthy nerves, myelin production, DNA synthesis and energy production within the nervous system.

None of this means these nutrients are the whole answer, and they certainly aren’t a cure. Every child is different.

But after hearing from thousands of families over the years, we’ve been continually humbled by how often parents tell us they notice positive changes when nutritional foundations are supported.

Sometimes it’s worth asking not just, “What’s wrong?”, but, “What might my child’s nervous system need more of?”

We’re always so moved reading stories like this.

While every child is different and we never expect the same outcome for everyone, it’s incredible to hear how much of a difference magnesium can make for some families.

Magnesium is involved in hundreds of processes throughout the body. It helps support the nervous system, energy production, muscle relaxation, sleep quality, emotional regulation and healthy stress responses. Yet many children are simply not getting enough through modern diets, while stress, growth, activity levels and modern lifestyles can all increase demand.

The Mighty Kids difference is the form which is Liposomal, it helps protect the magnesium through digestion and supports better absorption and delivery into the body. Our goal was to create the most effective magnesium we could for our own children, and then share it with other families.

To every parent who takes the time to share their experience with us, thank you. We never take these messages for granted, and we feel incredibly grateful to be a small part of so many families’ journeys.

A generation ago, parents weren’t being told that every emotional struggle, every difficult behaviour, every challenge was a reflection of something they had or hadn’t done.

Yet today’s parents are trying to raise healthy children in a world that has become increasingly unnatural.

Because the truth is, the world our children are growing up in is very different from the world their grandparents grew up in.

Food is not what it once was.

Many soils contain fewer nutrients than they did generations ago.

Children are exposed to more processed foods, more environmental chemicals, more artificial light, more stimulation, more stress, and less time for rest than ever before.

These things place demands on the body. They use nutrients. They increase our need for nourishment.

So if your child is struggling, please don’t automatically assume you are getting something wrong.

Sometimes the answer isn’t that you need to create a more magical childhood.

Sometimes the answer is that a growing body may simply need more support.

More nourishment.

More minerals.

More protein.

More sleep.

More of the building blocks that help children thrive.

Nature and Connection are important but so is nutrition.

And perhaps one of the kindest things we can tell parents is this:

You were never meant to carry the weight of the modern world on your shoulders.

You are not falling short.

You are raising children in circumstances no previous generation of parents has faced, and you’re doing far better than you think.

• 1 tsp onion powder
• 1 tsp salt
• Black pepper to taste
• 3 chicken breasts, blended
• 3 large eggs
• 1 cup spelt flour (or flour of choice)
• Beef tallow or coconut oil, for frying

(Makes around 25 large nuggets)

* Bowl 3: the remaining slice of sourdough, blended into breadcrumbs
4. Roll the chicken mixture into small balls or nugget shapes.
5. Coat each nugget in flour, then egg, then sourdough breadcrumbs.

Knowing that so many children are thriving with Mighty Kids Magnesium is something we will never take for granted.

Magnesium is involved in over 300 processes in the body and plays a role in everything from nervous system regulation and sleep quality, to muscle function, energy production, mood, focus and stress resilience. It’s one of the nutrients most commonly associated with helping the body move from a constant “fight or flight” state into a more balanced, relaxed state.

The mighty kids difference is in the quality of the form- magnesium bisglycinate, and the efficiency of the absorption, our nutrients are wrapped in tiny natural phospholipids, similar to our own cell membranes, helping to protect them through digestion and support efficient absorption and delivery throughout the body.

While every child is different, families commonly tell us they notice support with sleep, emotional regulation, worry, overwhelm, concentration, restlessness, growing pains, muscle tension, teeth grinding and overall calm.

We are so incredibly grateful that something we created for our own children is now helping so many other families too.

I used to dread hay fever season!

Thankfully these days, when the pollen count rises, we simply increase our Mighty Kids Vitamin C, and for our family, the symptoms disappear.

That’s my itchy eyes, sneezing and streaming nose, and one of my boys’ emotional overwhelm and irritability that seem to arrive with high pollen too.

I know that’s a big statement, and it’s only our experience. But the science behind it is fascinating.

Unlike antihistamines, which work by blocking histamine receptors once histamine has been released, Vitamin C appears to support the body’s own handling of histamine. Studies have found that lower Vitamin C levels are associated with higher circulating histamine levels, suggesting Vitamin C may play a role in histamine metabolism and helping the body maintain balance.

Histamine itself isn’t “bad”. It’s an important chemical messenger involved in immunity, digestion and even brain function. But when histamine release outpaces the body’s ability to break it down, symptoms can appear.

For me, it’s classic hay fever.
For my son, pollen can trigger bigger emotions, increased sensitivity, feeling overwhelmed and more irritability.

It took me years to connect my itchy eyes with my son’s big emotions, but it happens every year on high pollen days.

Vitamin C is also one of the body’s most powerful antioxidants and supports normal immune function, collagen production, neurotransmitter synthesis and the absorption of non-haem iron from food.

We chose to make Mighty Kids Vitamin C liposomal because our goal was to create a Vitamin C that families actually notice a difference from. The liposomal delivery system supports efficient absorption, which for our family has made a huge difference.

I can’t say Vitamin C is a cure for hay fever, and I certainly wouldn’t suggest replacing prescribed medication. But I can say that after years of dreading high pollen days, I now have a natural tool to reach for.

The wisdom from the GAPs framework reminds us that healing isn’t always about finding the “best” food. Sometimes it’s about meeting the body where it is, observing how we respond and building from there.

Once you start making broth or stock, you may find these humble pots become the foundation of countless family meals!, finding their way into soups, sauces, gravies, stews and even pizza.

Sometimes the most supportive foods are the ones our grandparents had simmering away on the stove all along.

(For anyone unfamiliar, GAPS is a nutritional framework developed by Dr Natasha Campbell-McBride that some families choose to explore for digestive support. This post is shared for education and is not personal medical advice.)

Because the goal is not to never be exposed to, or affected by viruses, germs, health struggles. Infections serve a purpose.
Immunity is BUILT, and part of that is exposure.
The goal is setting the body up with what it needs to adapt, learn, and recover.
We are so grateful for the noticiable nourishment children are experiencing through mighty kids.

The Mighty Kids vitamin C is a truly remarkable tool for supporting health.
We hear incredible stories from so many who see the noticeable support to the immune system from taking the vitamin C supplement.
What makes the Mighty Kids supplements different is the liposomal absorption; the natural lipid bubble allows the vitamin C to pe*****te the cells, delivering the nutrient directly where it is needed-inside the cell-which makes for a fast and brilliant health boost!
The same concept is true when applied topically.

Because of the lipid bubble, the vitamin C can pe*****te the layers and be delivered directly to the skin cells!
Nourishing at a cellular level with the most powerful antioxidant is extremely supportive and the reason such fast results can be seen.
We know Vitamin C is a powerful tool in skin health for many reasons.
It boosts collagen production, is an antioxidant, aids in wound healing, and aids in skin repair, to name a few.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
The Mighty Kids Vitamin C is intended as a food supplement. It is not registered as a cosmetic. It is slightly sticky and will transfer onto clothes or fabrics, so keep that in mind.
As with introducing any new products to the skin, please patch test or start small and monitor.
Especially for those with sensitive skin, in some cases mild stinging may occur.
Please be reassured of the safety of the product by the fact that it is intended for consumption.
You can easily rinse or wash this off with water if necessary.
