Our summer fair will take place on the 3rd July. To help prepare for this, we are holding 2 non-uniform days.

Friday, 19th June: bring a bottle - all bottles must be unopened and no alcohol please.

Friday, 26th June: bring chocolate - all shapes and sizes welcome

Following on from our Victorious Voyage week, the children took home a passport of activities to complete over the half term. Some parents sent in photos of the wonderful things they did. One parent even sent the email below:

Hi Greenside Team,

Just want to send a thank you. So often I feel stuck for ideas for things to do with my kids on the half term holidays and more specifically for them to be excited to do activities with me and we always seem to do the same things on rotation. We’ve absolutely loved doing the Victorious Voyages challenges together and we’d love more of this type of thing sent home! The kids have been very proud and eager ticking off each activity and it really helped with some direction of things to do with them. I am definitely going to go online and create lists for the school holidays going forward, having it printed out in the format where they can tick it off and date stamp. It has been a big encouragement to them, even more so that they’re going to be able to show their teachers and classmates when they get back!

We have a couple of go to activities such as trips to the park, bike rides and jigsaws but some I would never think of such as mosaic work and yoga on the list turned out to be a big hit in our house! It’s brought us all together with the kids actually eager to do activities together when they would usually complain and want to do the same things: Xbox, tablet, watch YouTube (all isolating and non-communicative- which we limit in our home). It’s day 2 of the holidays and we’ve spent both days doing activities together without the kids getting bored.

Well done Greenside team, absolutely brilliant idea sending this list home!
