Today our Safeguarding Student Ambassadors led an informative form time session focused on public safety and awareness.

Students explored the importance of staying safe in the community, recognising potential risks, and knowing how to respond responsibly in different situations. Year 7 Meet Author Hafiza Issa ๐Ÿ“šโœจ

Year 7 were delighted to welcome childrenโ€™s author Hafiza Issa, author of Earmuffs to the Moon. Students learned about her journey to becoming an author and the inspiration behind creating a main character with autism.

The session was full of thoughtful questions from students, followed by an exciting opportunity for them to write and share their own poems. Students also had the chance to receive signed copies of her book, making the experience even more memorable.

Year 10 Visit the Crown Court โš–๏ธ

Year 10 Citizenship students visited the Crown Court today, putting into practice what they have been learning about the UK justice system. During the visit, students gained a valuable insight into how the courts operate and even had the opportunity to attend a live court hearing. An engaging and memorable experience that brought classroom learning to life.

Careers Skills Day 2026 ๐Ÿ’ผโœจ

Today was Careers Skills Day for Year 9 โ€” one of our annual workshops that students always look forward to!

The day was all about enterprise, teamwork, and thinking like future business leaders. Students put on their business heads, explored new ideas, developed key workplace skills, and took part in engaging activities designed to inspire confidence and creativity.

Zesha S Class of 2018 now a freelance features writer and news journalist, has built an impressive portfolio across top publications including British Vogue, The Guardian, The Financial Times and more.

Her work spans lifestyle, health, culture, science and finance, earning recognition from Downing Street and a 2021 award for combating polarisation through her reporting on Covid-19 vaccine hesitancy. She was also shortlisted for the Press Gazette's National Journalism Awards.

Alongside her journalism success, she has just passed her final year of Medicine an incredible achievement balancing both fields.

Weโ€™re proud to see her making such an impact across media and healthcare!

Today was Perfect Motivational Speech Day, and Eshal from Year 10 delivered a thoughtful speech about appreciating the small things in life. ๐ŸŒŸ

Eshal reminded us that happiness is often found in everyday moments โ€” a kind word, a smile, time with family and friends, or simply taking a moment to be grateful. Her inspiring message encouraged everyone to slow down and value the little things that make life meaningful.

Nature Walks with Science ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿƒ

The Science department has organised a series of nature walks for different year groups, starting today and continuing into next week. Today, our Year 9 students enjoyed making the most of local parks and the beauty of nature at this time of year while exploring a variety of plants and learning more about the natural world around them. ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒณ

Students also had the opportunity to get creative by writing their own poems inspired by nature โ€” a wonderful combination of science, reflection, and creativity! โœจ
