Road Safety Walk 🚙

This morning, Year 6 adapted their walk due to the weather and walked round the local area putting their road safety lesson into action. 🚦🚧
We talked about how to cross road safely, how to identify the safest routes and what to do when a suitable path isn’t available. 🫶🏻

We had lots of breaks in shady spots and a long rest before our return to school. We also enjoyed an ice lolly upon our return to school!🍦💙

Cucina cooking workshop! 👩🏻‍🍳

This morning we were lucky enough to have 3 amazing sessions with Cucina. We started the morning with a talk about lunches and food on offer in secondary schools. The children had lots of questions and were very engaged. 💙

After this, they split into groups to all have a go at:

🌟Knife and cutting skills 🥒
🌟Understanding nutrition🌱

We have a packed week of activities planned to support our Year 6 children with their transition to secondary school.

We have enjoyed a Q&A session with three Year 7 students from Shenley, who are PR past pupils (it was lovely to see some familiar faces).
We look forward to welcoming Hazeley pupils on Thursday!

KS2 had an amazing morning with Rock Steady 🤙🏻🤘🏻

We had a fabulous time learning all about different instruments and even created our own Priory Rise Rock Band 💙🎸

Year 6 Residential Parents - Children are expected back to school for 3pmish where they will be dismissed with their luggage from the coach to you. Please create space for them to leave the coach and gather all their belongings.

After an early start, we’ve packed our bags, enjoyed our last breakfast at the hotel and are on our way to the ferry! ⛴️
We have a lot of happy but tired children, who can’t wait to see you all soon!💙

We have been rather busy today!
This morning we headed straight to the beach for a fossil talk, followed by crystal and fossil hunting on the beach. 🏝️

We enjoyed our lunch, while watching the waves. 🌊

Then, we visited the shops in Shanklin to get our souvenirs!

After our visit to Shanklin Chine, we walked up the hill working on our quiz in teams. 🌟

Finally, we headed back to our hotel for dinner, before packing and an early night!💤💙

The Year 6s, who have been in school this week, spent the morning making marble runs using recyclable materials. They did an absolutely incredible job! Well done to all of them!
