For years, I thought founders got stuck because they needed a better strategy.
I was wrong.
Some of the smartest, hardest-working founders I’ve met already had the strategy.
They had the experience.
They had the qualifications.
They had the opportunities.
Yet they still felt stuck.
What I discovered is this:
Most founders don’t have a strategy problem.
They have an identity problem.
The business is ready for the next level.
The founder hasn’t fully become the person required to lead it there.
That’s what inspired me to create The Identity Ceiling™.
The invisible limit that appears when your identity, leadership capacity and self-perception stop evolving at the speed your business requires.
And after months of development, I’ve finally released:
✨ The Identity Ceiling™ Founder Index
A founder assessment designed to help you discover:
• Your Founder Level
• Your Identity Ceiling™
• Your Visibility Score
• The next shift required for growth
Because your business can only rise to the level of the identity leading it.
The question is:
Who does your next level require you to become?

💜 FRIDAY FOUNDER SPOTLIGHT 💜
One of the reasons I do this work is because I get to witness people become the version of themselves they’ve been waiting for.
Meet Dr Bim.
When she joined the programme, she was already successful.
A Lecturer in Business.
A mentor to small business owners.
A woman with experience, expertise, and a heart for impact.
But like many high achievers, she knew there was more inside her.
More ideas.
More potential.
More goals she wanted to bring to life.
Over the last few months, something changed.
Not because she suddenly became more talented.
Not because she found extra hours in the day.
But because she committed to becoming the person her next level required.
Since then, she has:
✨ Launched a YouTube channel
✨ Created over 40 videos
✨ Written and published her book
✨ Created a paid webinar
✨ Made significant progress towards her financial goals
✨ Continued to excel in her academic career
This is what I call breaking through the Identity Ceiling™.
The moment you stop negotiating with your potential and start acting from the person you are becoming.
Dr Bim, I am incredibly proud of you.
Your success is proof that transformation is possible when identity and action finally align.
💜
If you’re reading this, let this be your reminder:
You may be one identity shift away from the growth you’ve been chasing.
💜💜💜

People often see the speaker.
The strategist.
The founder.
The author.
What they don’t always see is the little girl who still knows how to laugh.
Yesterday at Sip & Glow, somewhere between the conversations, the learning, and the powerful moments with incredible women, this picture happened.
And I absolutely love it.
Because The Identity Ceiling™ isn’t just about business growth.
It’s about remembering who you are beneath the titles, responsibilities, expectations, and pressure.
Too many people build successful lives while slowly disconnecting from themselves.
They become productive but not present.
Accomplished but exhausted.
Visible but no longer joyful.
For me, success was never meant to cost me my laughter.
Or my curiosity.
Or my ability to be fully present in the moments that make life beautiful.
So yes, I do serious work.
I help founders break through the invisible ceilings limiting their growth.
I speak about identity, leadership, revenue, and transformation.
But I also believe that if success takes away your joy, you’ve paid too much for it.
The goal isn’t to become someone else.
The goal is to become more of who you truly are.
And for the record…
I’m still a kid at heart. ❤️
Thank you for the naughty corner and all the laugh. Thank you for the makeup tutorial and your patience with us all. Thank you Ifeanyi for creating the space for us.

For years, I showed up before anyone was watching.
On Saturday night, I was reminded that someone was.
I am deeply honoured to have received the Creator of the Year 2026 Award (Business & Finance) at the AFRIBALL Creators Awards.
As I’ve reflected on this moment over the past few days, I’ve realised that what means the most to me is not the trophy itself.
It’s the recognition.
It’s knowing that the work mattered enough for people to notice.
The early mornings.
The late nights.
The coaching sessions.
The difficult conversations.
The events.
The speaking engagements.
The content.
The lives impacted.
To and the entire team, thank you for creating a platform that celebrates excellence, impact, and innovation. Thank you for believing in my work enough to nominate me.
To every person who voted, shared, supported, encouraged, referred a client, attended an event, bought a book, or simply cheered me on from afar—thank you.
This award belongs to all of us.
I often tell my clients that your business will only rise to the level of your identity.
This moment is a reminder that when you continue showing up with purpose, consistency, and integrity, the work eventually speaks for itself.
Grateful.
Humbled.
Seen.
And more committed than ever to the mission ahead.

I was 24 years old when I lost my first baby.
For 8 days, I was in labour.
Every time I went to the hospital, I was sent home.
“It isn’t real labour yet.”
The doctors told me I had a high threshold for pain. Because I wasn’t reacting the way they expected, they assumed everything was fine.
It wasn’t.
On the eighth day, I went to see my mum.
The moment she looked at me, she knew something was wrong.
My face was swollen.
My fingers had doubled in size.
Without hesitation, she sent me straight back to the hospital.
By the time the doctors induced labour, my baby’s heartbeat was gone.
It remains one of the most painful experiences of my life.
But over the years, I have come to realise that hidden inside that loss was a lesson that would shape how I lead, how I build, and how I serve others.
Pain becomes dangerous when it becomes familiar.
I had become so used to enduring discomfort that I didn’t realise how serious things had become.
Founders do this too.
We normalise exhaustion.
We normalise burnout.
We normalise stress.
We normalise carrying everything alone.
We convince ourselves that struggling is simply part of the journey.
But just because something is common doesn’t mean it’s healthy.
My mum saw what I couldn’t see because she had walked the road before me.
That is the power of mentorship.
That is the power of community.
That is the power of having people around you who can recognise the warning signs before you do.
The first step in my I.R.I.S.E.™ Method is Interrupt.
Interrupt the pattern.
Interrupt the burnout.
Interrupt the belief that you have to carry everything by yourself.
Because sometimes the greatest risk isn’t the challenge you’re facing.
It’s becoming so familiar with the pain that you stop recognising it as pain.
And sometimes the breakthrough begins when someone helps you see what you can no longer see for yourself. 💜

Sometimes the next level of your business does not require a new strategy.
It requires a new version of you.
After two powerful LinkedIn Lives together — and the incredible response from founders and professionals across LinkedIn — I’m excited to be collaborating again with Jose K for another transformational conversation.
🎙 THE IDENTITY SHIFT REQUIRED FOR BUSINESS GROWTH
Because strategy alone is not enough to scale your business, leadership, and visibility.

✨ Founder identity & business growth
✨ Leadership evolution

✨ Becoming the version your next level requires

Over a decade ago, when I first stepped into sales, I got a coach who completely changed the way I saw myself.
During one of our coaching sessions, he looked at me and said:
“Buki, I see you as a public speaker. I see you as someone whose story will resonate with people. You need to share your story.”
And I remember laughing it off.
I told him,
“My life is boring. Nobody wants to hear my story.”
At the time, I genuinely believed that.
I thought stories had to be dramatic to matter.
I thought impact belonged to “other people.”
I thought ordinary people like me just worked hard quietly and stayed in the background.
But here I am… years later.
Published in Female CEO Magazine.
Featured in publications back home in Nigeria.
Reading messages from people telling me that my story gave them courage, perspective, hope, and belief again.
And honestly?
It still feels surreal.
Because the truth is, sometimes we cannot see the greatness in ourselves until someone else reflects it back to us.
Sometimes all it takes is one person to say:
“I see something in you.”
I still remember one thing my coach used to say to me:
“Dreams are dreams when they are dreamt at night with closed eyes. But the people who change the world are those who dream with their eyes open.”
That stayed with me.
And today, I want to say this to someone who may be doubting themselves the way I once did:
It is okay to dream.
It is okay to believe in yourself.
It is okay to want more for your life.
And your story?
Your story matters more than you think it does.
The parts of you that you think are ordinary…
The pain you survived.
The lessons you learned quietly.
The tears nobody saw.
The courage it took to keep going.
That story could be the very thing that transforms someone else’s life.
For years, I tried to dim my light because I thought it was not “big enough.”
Now I realise:
Light was never meant to be hidden.
So let your light sparkle.
Dream with your eyes open.
And never underestimate the power of your story.
Because someone out there is waiting to hear it. 💜
GO CHECK IT OUT NOW!

June is more than another month.
It is the closing chapter of the first half of the year.
And honestly?
A lot of people are entering June exhausted, discouraged, distracted, or quietly frustrated because the year has not gone the way they imagined.
Goals delayed.
Consistency broken.
Confidence shaken.
Vision blurred.
But this is the conversation many people need to hear:
You do not need to throw away the year because the first half felt messy.
You need recalibration.
This is exactly why I created the I.R.I.S.E.™ Method.
Because sustainable growth does not happen by pressure alone.
It happens when you intentionally rebuild from within.
I.R.I.S.E.™ helps individuals and founders:
• Reconnect with identity
• Reset limiting patterns
• Improve clarity and confidence
• Strengthen mindset and emotional resilience
• Scale with intention instead of survival mode
The next half of the year cannot be approached with the same thinking, habits, emotional exhaustion, and lack of alignment that slowed the first half.
Transformation requires awareness.
Growth requires honesty.
And elevation requires internal work.
June is your opportunity to pause, reflect, reset, and rise differently.
The second half of the year still holds possibilities for you — but only if you are willing to grow into the version of yourself that can sustain it.
This is the conversation more people need to have.
