We are a community garden in Keyworth promoting both physical & mental health & wellbeing

We are Amanda Ramsay and Nicola Twidale and we started our journey at BBC Gardeners World 2019 where we built our vision of creating a community well-being and therapy garden in the Beautiful Borders Competition. We have a passion for the outdoors and creating a sustainable environment in which to grow our own food and flowers. We are excited to be in the process of securing land to create a garde

Spring has sprung at the Community Garden. We’re open Tuesdays but you can walk through anytime and enjoy the flowers 🌺🌼🪻

It really is a disgrace 😞. We specifically asked for no weedkiller to be used around the Peace Garden, which we maintain on behalf of the Parish Council and use no chemicals at the Community Garden either. These chemicals not only destroy biodiversity but also end up in our bodies! Surely these Councils should be working together and have a cohesive approach in the village or all the good done in one area is undone in another!

We get all sorts of visitors to the community garden, this week Mr and Mrs Claus made an appearance 🤔

While it gave us a chuckle they maybe need to make their way back home so they can get prepared for next Christmas 🌲

This week we've had fun making Christmas wreaths and our volunteers excelled themselves as I think you'll agree!
We will be making more wreaths next week as we need to stock up for Keyworth Festivities on Saturday 6th, which is always a fab event for the village.

We are delighted that Keyworth Community Garden is part of the Local Community Fund. Without this vital support we would struggle to continue our work at the Garden.
