🏅It’s GOLD in the long jump for River!🏅
Athletics fixtures continue through this week, but a notable victory needs sharing!
A huge well done to Inas in Year 7 who stepped up on the day and brought home a GOLD first place in the long jump with a 3.05m victory.
Even more exciting, this was Inas’ FIRST EVER long jump performance. 💪💪💪

A week ago today our Year 7 students descended on the centre of Reading for their ‘My Home Town’ trip.
Students completed a carousel of activities engaging in the local area, including: Broad Street, Reading Abbey, Forbury Gardens, the Oracle Riverside and Reading Museum. In these places they completed tasks linking their curriculum studies to the world around them.
Students were fantastic and a credit to the River . 💪

Year 7 students have been studying poetry this term in English and have produced their own pieces inspired by Benjamin Zephaniah’s ‘The British’.
We thought Thalia’s summed up River Academy beautifully! 🌟
