Cute little bird wall tile.
Shiny black glaze contrasted against the unglazed stone like crank clay 👌
I’m pleased with this because I’ve managed to incorporate a shape on the back that means it can hang straight on the wall - no need to stick a bracket on

Decorating with slip transfer
A mammoth job, that I had to unfortunately rush
The idea behind this is a representation of the word Blateration. It’s big, intrusive and has 2 spouts to show the spilling of words. The decoration is busy, clumsy and excessive. Featuring quotes by Orwell from an essay he wrote about political language.
Fingers crossed it makes it through the firing! There isn’t enough time to let it dry slowly and make the deadline so its likely to lose the handle when it’s cooking. It’s out of my hands now 🤷🏻♀️
