*Georgina Theodora Wood*

Wood is the first female Chief Justice of Ghana (12th Chief Justice of Ghana, 24th of the Gold Coast) with 50 years of service to the state.

She worked with the Ghana Police Service as deputy superintendent and public prosecutor for 3 years. She went on to become District Magistrate, rising to become presiding judge of the Appeal Court.

In 2001, she was appointed to the Supreme Court which she had earlier declined and was nominated Chief Justice with approved consensus by parliament.
Wood was the highest ranked female in Ghana’s political history till 2007.

After retirement, she was sworn in as the final member of the Council of State, and has been decorated with the Order of the Star of Ghana, the nation’s highest honour.

*Annie Baëta Jiagge*

Annie started her career by becoming headmistress of the Evangelical Presbyterian Girls School, using a drama troupe to raise money to build a school for its students when the building was washed away by the ocean.

She went on to attend the London School of Economics and Political Science despite discouragement from her male counterparts who thought she was better suited for dress design because of her s*x.

With her LLB, she became Gold Coast’s/Ghana’s first female lawyer and judge, and was appointed representative of Ghana on the UN Commission on the Status of Women

We would like to begin by honoring our founder and 1st Chairperson.

Ms. Aurelia Attipoe, Founder of Pitch hub, Technology Analyst (Bank of America, Merrill Lynch) and a solid advocate for substantial change.

Ms. Aurelia is an outstanding young woman, industrious, impeccably competent and absolutely gorgeous.
