Introduction
Zuriya Vocational Institute (ZVI) is a private community skills training institute based in Bawku, Upper East Region of Ghana. where learners seek employable skills and advanced professional credentials in garment making and fashion designing. The challenge before ZVI is to strengthen and preserve its mission of providing access to garment making careers while at the same time developing advanced programs and initiatives designed to extend ZVI's reach.
ZVI was established in August 2019 and specializes in offering tailor-made courses and competency-based training skills programs to individuals in various vocational skills in garment making and fashion designing.
At ZVI, we believe in contributing to the healthy development of individuals, families and communities through skills training for excellent career path. ZVI courses and programs are opened to learners from all walk of life that have the desire to change or enhance their career path for economic empowerment. The facilitators and learners are considered as part of the most critical resources to the institution, ensuring that our programs are expertly promoted, and implemented to improve learners entrepreneurial and employable skills.

Our Mission is to provide high-quality programmes in competency-based training that are geared towards equipping and helping individuals especially in the informal sector achieve their professional goals in garment making and progress on the National TVET Qualifications Framework (NTVETQF).

5.0​Goals

The general goal of ZVI is to produce competent, creative and motivated skilled labor in the TVET sector especially in fashion industries that will contribute to national development.

In order to achieve this overall goal, ZVI will pursue a five-year strategic plan which revolves around three interlocking and mutually supportive goals. The goals are:

• Ensure academic and creative excellence in Garment making programmes in CBT
• Ensure equitable access to quality competent based vocational skills training especially in garment making.
• Expand infrastructure to increase access and overall enrollment
