Sanna Jammeh served diligently as the Deputy Head Boy and also doubled as the President of the School Press Club in 2021-2022 academy year. Throughout his time in school, he demonstrated determination, discipline, hard work, and respect, qualities that distinguished him among his peers. Upon completing his secondary education, he proceeded to the University of Education (formerly Gambia College), where he pursued a Higher Diploma in Education Major (Arts and SES). Currently teaching at Aji Sukai Ndateh Junior and Senior Secondary School and The Vice President of Aims Forward Foundation.

Equally inspiring is Awa Joof, another proud product of the mighty Sheikh Mass Kah Senior Secondary School. Following her graduation, she pursued a Higher Diploma in Agriculture while simultaneously venturing into entrepreneurship, a true reflection of resilience, ambition, and innovation.

These two young scholars stand today as role models and living testimonies to the commitment, excellence, and transformative efforts of Sheikh Mass Kah Senior Secondary School. Their journeys continue to inspire younger generations to embrace education, leadership, discipline, and hard work.

As a teacher, seeing my students grow into purposeful and impactful young people remains one of my greatest sources of pride. Congratulations once again to Sanna Jammeh and Awa Joof. The future is undoubtedly bright for both of you..

Leadership and communication remain indispensable pillars in shaping responsible and visionary young leaders. Sheikh Mass Kah Senior Secondary School, in partnership with West African Senior Secondary School, successfully hosted a Leadership and Public Speaking Skills Training at the American Corner.

The training served as a remarkable platform for empowering students with essential leadership values, confidence-building techniques, and effective communication skills necessary for both academic excellence and societal engagement.

Renowned speaker Amadou Wurry Jallow delivered an insightful lecture on Public Speaking Skills, emphasizing the importance of confidence, articulation, critical thinking, and audience engagement in effective communication.

Equally, Muhammed Lamin Ceesay a youth leader and advocate, enlightened students on Leadership and Responsibility, highlighting the qualities of exemplary leadership, accountability, discipline, and service to humanity.

This collaborative initiative truly reflects the principle of “iron sharpening iron” schools coming together to inspire, mentor, and prepare young minds for future leadership and national development.

Special appreciation goes to the hardworking and visionary Teacher Coordinators, Mr. Ebrima Colley and Miss Fansainey Camara, whose foresight, commitment, and dedication made this impactful engagement a success.

Mr. Bah was more than an educator and administrator; he was a man of faith, integrity, and unwavering commitment. His leadership was firmly rooted in his Islamic principles, which guided both his professional conduct and personal character.

As a teacher, he imparted knowledge with passion and purpose. As a leader, he inspired those around him to walk the path of discipline, responsibility, and righteousness. His legacy will continue to live on in the countless lives he touched and the values he instilled.

We humbly pray: May Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him the highest place in Jannah, and give strength and comfort to his family, friends, and the entire school community. Ameen.

trip also included a solemn visit to the gravesite of late Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara, where students reflected on his legacy of leadership and nation-building, before heading to Arch 22 to explore historical artifacts and reconnect with The Gambia’s rich heritage.

The event brought together students from various institutions, providing a vibrant platform for critical thinking, public speaking, and constructive intellectual engagement. As a school with experience in debate and academic discourse, Sheikh Mass Kah Senior Secondary School is set to lock horns with other participating institutions in thought-provoking debates.

Our students are prepared to engage in robust intellectual exchanges centered on national development, examining real societal challenges and proposing meaningful solutions through debate. This championship offers yet another opportunity for our debaters to sharpen their skills, exchange ideas, and contribute to conversations that matter.
