Students from the University of Georgia Food Science & Technology Study Abroad Program participated in a Greek Ouzo, Raki & Tsipouro Workshop at Perrotis College, led by Sofia Lalou, PhD, Head of Food Science.
Through guided tasting, sensory analysis, and discussion, students explored the production methods, sensory characteristics, and cultural significance of traditional Greek spirits.

A taste of Greece through the science of food 🧀
Students from the University of Georgia Food Science & Technology Department Study Abroad Program joined a hands-on Greek Cheese Tasting Workshop at Perrotis College, led by Sofia Lalou, PhD, Head of Food Science.
Through sensory evaluation and discussion, students explored the unique characteristics, traditions, and food science behind authentic Greek cheeses.

The spotlight belonged to our graduates as we celebrated a remarkable milestone in their journey.
Surrounded by family, friends, faculty, and distinguished guests from the international academic community, the Class of 2026 was recognized for its achievements, perseverance, and growth. We were especially honored by the presence of Dr. Ann Marie VanDerZanden of Iowa State University and keynote speaker Dr. Vincent Boudreau, President of The City College of New York, and grateful to all our guests who joined this memorable celebration.
We also extend our heartfelt thanks to the parents and families whose unwavering support, encouragement, and belief helped make this moment possible.

World Environment Day is a reminder that sustainability is built through everyday actions. 🌍
As part of environmental awareness initiatives, students of Perrotis College participated in a beach cleanup action, contributing to the protection of coastal ecosystems and promoting environmental responsibility through hands-on engagement.
Because sustainability begins with the choices and actions that shape our future.

Perrotis College participated in the final international event of the VOICES FROM MIGRATIONS project in Rosarno, Italy, bringing together young people from more than 15 European countries to engage in dialogue around inclusion, democratic participation, and shared European values.
Through collaboration, dialogue, and youth-led action, ideas turned into meaningful impact — contributing to initiatives that promote inclusion and anti-racism across communities.
