Congratulations to our postgraduate student, Elena Kalimeri, on winning the FEO Francesca Miotti Young Speaker Award at the FEO Meeting during the 101st EOS Congress in Dublin! 🎉
Elena delivered an exceptional presentation of her research on the 3D CBCT evaluation of alveolar bone and root length changes following conventional rapid maxillary expansion in growing patients, conducted as part of her thesis under the supervision of Professor O. E. Kolokitha.
We are incredibly proud of Elena and grateful to the FEO Board for this recognition. A truly deserved achievement for a remarkable young researcher.

Welcome to our 3D printing era!
The renovation of our laboratory has reached its ideal culmination with the installation of our new equipment for the direct 3D printing of aligners. This exciting addition reflects our Department’s ongoing commitment to innovation and to expanding advanced treatment options for our patients.

All the members of our Department participated in the proceedings of the 19th International Symposium of the Greek Orthodontic Society, held in Athens, Greece, on May 15–17. The Head and Director of the Postgraduate Program, Prof. Olga-Elpis Kolokitha extended a greeting during the opening ceremony. One scientific and two clinical posters were presented:

Another successful seminar at our Department!
Right before the Easter holidays, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Orestis Charalambous, who shared his deep expertise in dental photography with our postgraduate students. His sessions, both theoretical and hands-on, were incredibly engaging, leaving a lasting impression on everyone involved.
To express our appreciation for his valuable contribution, the Head of our Department and Program Director, Prof. Olga-Elpis Kolokitha, presented Dr. Charalambous with a small token of gratitude in recognition of his impact on enhancing the diagnostic procedures of our clinic. 📸🦷🎉

Άλλο ένα επιτυχημένο σεμινάριο στο Εργαστήριο μας!
Λίγο πριν τις διακοπές του Πάσχα, είχαμε τη χαρά να υποδεχτούμε τον Ορέστη Χαραλάμπους, ο οποίος μοιράστηκε τη βαθιά του εξειδίκευση στην οδοντιατρική φωτογραφία με τους μεταπτυχιακούς μας φοιτητές και φοιτήτριες. Τόσο το θεωρητικό όσο και το πρακτικό μέρος του σεμιναρίου ήταν ιδιαίτερα ενδιαφέροντα, αφήνοντας εξαιρετικές εντυπώσεις σε όλους τους συμμετέχοντες.
Ως ένδειξη εκτίμησης για τη σημαντική του συμβολή, η Διευθύντρια του Εργαστηρίου και Διευθύντρια του Μεταπτυχιακού Προγράμματος, Καθηγήτρια Όλγα-Έλπις Κολοκυθά, προσέφερε στον Δρ. Χαραλάμπους ένα μικρό αναμνηστικό δώρο, αναγνωρίζοντας την πολύτιμη συμβολή του στην ενίσχυση των διαγνωστικών διαδικασιών της κλινικής μας.

honour was awarded for her research on “Three-dimensional Cone-Beam Computed Tomography evaluation of alveolar bone and root length effects of conventional rapid maxillary expansion in growing patients”, which was performed as part of her thesis under the supervision of Professor and Head of the Department O. E. Kolokitha.
