Career Day at LCSS
One of the most important roles of a secondary school is to help guide students in choosing a career path that aligns with their interests, abilities, and future goals.
As part of our Career Day activities, all students participated in a Career Dress-Up Day, proudly showcasing a wide range of professions and career aspirations.
The Grade 9 Level Supervisor, Miss Sherita Alladin-Persaud, along with her team, organized an informative program featuring speakers from various professions who shared valuable insights and experiences to enlighten and inspire our students.
As our Grade 9 students prepare to be streamed into Grade 10 classes focusing on different subject areas, parents were invited to a meeting to play an active role in this very important decision-making process.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making this activity both educational and inspiring for our students as they begin planning for their future careers.
๐โจ The future belongs to those who prepare for it today.

๐ World Environment Day 2026 ๐
Theme: "A Global Call for Climate Action"
Lower Corentyne Secondary School proudly participated in the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Green Walk in observance of World Environment Day.
We join in the call for every individual to take responsibility for their carbon footprint and to be more conscious of how waste is disposed of. Small actions can make a big difference when we all work together toward a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable future.
We can all do better. We can all do our part. ๐ฑ๐

Join us for Drop Everything and Read (D.E.A.R.) from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. as schools, parents, and organizations across Guyana take one hour to celebrate the power of reading.
