Bridging the gap between ideas and impact! 🔗✨

We are thrilled to share the highlights from yesterday’s grand opening ceremony of the Centre for Knowledge Exchange (CKEx). Strategically located at Cyberport, CKEx is set to serve as a powerful catalyst for transforming university research and digital technology into real-world applications.

The momentous day began with an exclusive tour of our new CKEx office, where senior management from both EdUHK and Cyberport 數碼港 joined us to hear firsthand presentations from our brilliant research and development teams. Following the tour, they officially kicked off the celebrations by jointly officiating our opening ceremony.

Building on this momentum, the event also marked the signing of major Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with our new strategic partners—Zhongguancun Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Youth Innovation Centre and Mininglamp Technology (Hong Kong). These initiatives lay down an exciting framework for long-term tripartite cooperation in AI and big data research.

To anchor this future growth, we also proudly conferred official titles to our newly appointed External Advisory Committee on Knowledge Transfer, as well as our core R&D and startup teams. They represent the very foundation of CKEx.

Together, we are building the future of innovation! 🚀

Congratulations to our start-up 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐀𝐈𝐧𝐄𝐃 Ltd, led by Dr Fridolin Ting, on receiving the Excellence Award in the “AI+ in Business Award (SME)” at AI+ Power Award 2026.

A highlight of their innovation is “YoChatGPT”—a collaborative AI workspace designed specifically for group learning and team problem-solving. It bridges the gap between emerging AI technologies and effective educational practices, preparing learners for an AI-integrated future while maintaining human-centered learning principles.
