Celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the publication of The Little Prince in France with a thematic journey through the life of the author, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

From the story’s initial concept, creation and key details of editorial and publication processes to Hong Kong exclusive display of character sculptures, don’t miss this chance to explore the world of the Little Prince.

This exhibition is jointly presented by the University Museum and Art Gallery, The University of Hong Kong, and the Alliance Française de Hong Kong, and generously supported by IWC Schaffhausen and the HKU Museum Society.

【Upcoming Exhibition⭐展覽預告】

In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the publication of The Little Prince in France, the University Museum and Art Gallery, The University of Hong Kong, and the Alliance Française de Hong Kong jointly present The Little Prince and the Pilot—a multigenerational exhibition and thematic journey through the life of the author Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Rare photographs, letters, maps, personal items, manuscripts, and original editions introduce visitors to Saint-Exupéry—a legendary figure who embodied many roles at once: family man, friend, writer, painter, aviation pioneer, and explorer. By approaching his life from multiple perspectives, the exhibition offers a comprehensive portrait of the author’s extraordinary journey and the personal experiences that inspired The Little Prince.

The world-famous book takes centre stage as the key focus of this exhibition. Through design drawings and quotations, visitors can trace the character of the Little Prince and explore the story’s initial concept and creation, as well as key details of its editorial and publication process—revealing the author’s creative journey and deep philosophical thinking. A Hong Kong-exclusive display of character sculptures invites visitors to take photos and create lasting memories.

This exhibition is generously supported by IWC Schaffhausen and the HKU Museum Society.

為慶祝《小王子》於法國出版八十週年，香港大學美術博物館與香港法國文化協會聯合呈獻《小王子與飛行員》特展——一場跨世代的盛會，引領觀眾走進作者安東尼·聖修伯里人生的主題旅程。透過展出珍稀照片、信件、地圖、個人物品、手稿及原版書籍，讓參觀者認識聖修伯里這位兼具家人、朋友、作家、畫家、航空先驅與探險家多重身份的傳奇人物。展覽從多重視角探索其非凡人生，完整呈現這位作家的卓越歷程，以及促使他寫下《小王子》的親身經歷。

世界名著《小王子》是本次展覽的核心焦點。觀眾可透過設計圖稿與引文，追溯小王子的角色誕生與演變，了解其最初構思與創作過程，以及該書在編輯與出版過程中的重要細節，從而揭示作者的創作軌跡與深邃的哲學思考。展覽亦設有香港獨家展出的《小王子》角色雕塑，供參觀者拍照留念，締造難忘回憶。

The University of Hong Kong held a ceremony June 17 to present Honorary University Fellowships to six distinguished individuals, in recognition of their contributions to the University and to the community!

HKU Pro-Chancellor Dr the Honourable Sir David Li Kwok Po presided at the ceremony, which is a means for the University community to thank and salute the lives of those who have made important contributions in their own unique ways to the University, to academia, and to Hong Kong.

🇰🇷🏙️ Against the stunning backdrop of Namsan Seoul Tower, over 50 gathered in Seoul for a first-of-its-kind Networking Reception on 5 June. This memorable evening was hosted by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO), with the HKU Development & Alumni Affairs Office and the HKU Business School Korea Alumni Network as co-organisers.

🍃 The event welcomed a diverse and vibrant alumni community in Seoul, with graduation years spanning more than two decades—from the Class of 2005 to the upcoming Class of 2026—and from nine different faculties. Across generations, HKU alumni bonded over lively conversations, sharing fond memories and stories of their time in Hong Kong and at HKU.
