A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for an incredible evening, last Friday. The night was filled with great music, plenty of dancing, and the chance to celebrate together in style.

The masks added a touch of mystery, the photo booth captured some brilliant memories, and the atmosphere was one of pure fun and connection.

It was the perfect way to mark this milestone of completing MYP, well done Year 11!

Last week, our Year 1 children proudly showcased their learning in the “How We Express Ourselves” unit of inquiry. Families enjoyed wonderful performances, with students singing a variety of songs that highlighted their confidence and creativity - it was truly a special experience for everyone.

After the performances, parents and children came together for hands-on activities exploring different forms of expression: storytelling, puppet shows, Monet-inspired art, wearable fashion, and pop-up cards.

Well done Year 1. You've made us so proud!

Our TEDx event on Monday was a huge success!
Under the theme Kaleidoscope, our student speakers delivered diverse, thought‑provoking talks that sparked conversations long after the final presentation.

We’re so grateful to our incredible organising team, supportive families, and our local community for filling the theatre with energy and making this celebration of creativity and collaboration an outstanding experience for all.

Last week, DC Music Department proudly hosted the inaugural DC Musicians of the Year Concert!

Primary and Secondary students lit up the stage with incredible solo performances - from traditional Chinese opera and German Lied to Indian Carnatic music, pop vocals, and impressive instrumental mastery on tabla, guzheng, piano, oboe, electric guitar, and more.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our wonderful judges and to the music department. Congratulations to all the performers and a special shout out to the winners - Twinkle, Lleyton, Kian and Gavin.

We look forward to making the DC Musicians of the Year concert a cherished annual tradition!

A massive congratulations to our incredible U12 Boys Volleyball Team for capturing the ISSFHK Division 2 Championship title!

They brought the energy, the teamwork, and the ultimate Cobra spirit to bring home the trophy. We couldn't be prouder of this amazing group of champions!

Huge congratulations to our Chinese Debate Team who were crowned champions at the ESF Chinese Debate Finals held on 1 June.

This historic victory reflects their passion, grit, and countless hours of preparation. Over the past weeks, our debaters stayed late after school, drafting scripts, analysing arguments, and sharpening strategies. On the big stage, they executed brilliantly and their hard work paid off!

Last week, DC had the pleasure of welcoming author Jamie Yorke for an engaging visit. Jamie captivated our Year 5 students with stories and sparked lively conversations about “tipping points”, those powerful moments when characters face challenges, make decisions, and discover important lessons.

Our Year 5 students listened intently, read along, and confidently shared their thoughts with curiosity and courage.

A heartfelt thank you to Jamie for sharing his experiences. Your stories and reflections have left a lasting impact on our students!

Last Wednesday at Discovery College, our graduates proudly crossed the stage, cheered on by loved ones and inspired by powerful student performances and speeches.

It was a spectacular evening and it was made possible by a coordinated team effort of staff, student volunteers and PTA. A special shout out to all the teachers who have guided and supported these students over the years.

Congratulations to the class of 2026! We are so proud of your resilience and achievements. We wish you good luck as you embark on the next chapter of your lives!
