【精彩回顧】HKDI 插畫專業「Creative WOW」畢業展圓滿落幕！

感謝大家的支持！由 HKDI 傳意設計學系 、SHAPE與UWE合辦，40 位 BA (Honours) Illustration 準畢業生 聯手打造的「Creative WOW」畢業展，已於 6 月 7 日在石硤尾 JCCAC 畫上完美句點。

這場限時三天的「視覺核爆」，展現了香港插畫新星們無與倫比的創作能量。謝謝每一位親臨現場、帶著「WOW」與我們激盪創意的你！錯過了現場展出，或想再次回味那些震撼瞬間？

展覽 3 大創作亮點回顧:
風格碰撞: 橫跨夢幻童話與暗黑美學

[Redefining Design: Workshop Highlights with Nikki Gonnissen & Laurent Ungerer]

We were thrilled to host design visionaries Nikki Gonnissen and Laurent Ungerer for an exclusive workshop with our HKDI students. Together, they explored the intersections of visual identity, cultural storytelling, and the realities of the creative process.
Through world-class case studies, Nikki and Laurent challenged us to rethink our approach to design. They reminded our students that design is a powerful vehicle for connection, not merely aesthetics.
The ultimate lesson? Innovation doesn't come from having all the answers, it comes from asking the right questions. Thank you both for empowering the next generation of creators!

【Master Lecture Recap: Where Art Meets Design, Netherlands X France】

Thank you all for your tremendous support! Our Master Lecture on May 19, "Crafting at the Intersection of Art and Design" , led by Nikki Gonnissen (Co-founder of Thonik, the Netherlands) and Laurent Ungerer (Founder of c-album, France), moderated by Darren Chuckry (Managing Director, HK Initiative), has successfully concluded. With over 600 participants joining us, the atmosphere was incredibly vibrant!

Key Highlights from Our Design Masters:
Nikki shared how she expands beyond graphic design into digital, spatial, and moving images. She demonstrated how a unified "online, offline, and on-site" visual language connects major public institutions like the M+ Museum and Schiphol Airport.

Laurent took us on a journey from the Centre Pompidou to Notre-Dame de Paris. He showcased how "spatial narrative" transforms iconic cultural landmarks into unforgettable visual experiences.

The speakers emphasised that in this new era, "curious thinking" and "cross-disciplinary collaboration" are the true essence of creativity because magic happens when art and design meet. Don't let professional boundaries limit your imagination. Dare to cross borders and craft at the intersection!
