A clear and detailed article from The Guardian which discusses the stigma around va**nal hygiene and the problems associated with va**nal douches. Very interesting read!
The va**na is self-cleaning – so why does the 'feminine hygiene' industry exist? From talcum powder to jade eggs and douches, an industry has grown up to sell products – some of which are harmful – that play on women’s fears about being dirty or smelly

Happy International Women's Day from FEMPO.
From our last event, we concluded that LPC is not s*xist. Take a look at people's initial thoughts about it.

Is LPC s*xist?
This is the topic FEMPO invites you to discuss this Wednesday, February 21st at 7:30pm in the Student Common Room.
Whether you view every canteen table debate through a feminist lens or prefer to follow the developments of the movement from a distance, we encourage you to share your perspective in the spirit of being proactive and making LPC a better place for us all.
Our discussion questions for the event are the following:
1. Is LPC s*xist and why? (If not, have you ever considered this? Is s*xism on campus normalised?)
2. To what extent do social events at LPC perpetuate r**e culture?
3. Can we judge s*xism if our values are or may be inherently s*xist?
4. How can we foster a nons*xist/less s*xist campus environment?
As our event clashes with CCE rehearsals, please feel free to pop in and out according to your schedule.
Tea and snacks will also be provided!
We hope to see you there - this conversation includes us all.
